Strike Protest Againt Western Union

Together with the Transnational Institute for Grassroots Research & Action (TIGRA) we are boycotting Western Union.  Filipinos sent back almost $15 billion in remittances to the Philippines in 2007.  Western Union steals money from immigrant communities, charging anywhere from $16 to $65 to send back our hard-earned money to the Philippines.  It is estimated by the World Bank that Western Union could cut fees by a third and still reap profits that match it competitors. We want Western Union to lower their fees and sign our Community Benefits Agreement.
